This newly expanded oasis will soon be home to a sheltered outdoor kitchen and a new spa.
Take one look at some of the many examples on our website of the beauty, functionality and practicality of what goes on outside of the pool and it’s no wonder that many customers call on us for new work – not to build a pool but to truly transform their backyard into an outdoor oasis.
Such was the case with this ongoing project that we’re working on even as these words are being typed.
The owner called us in, knowing that our expertise also extends outside of the pool. They had seen and heard about our hardscaping expertise and our ability to create enjoyable gathering places that help to extend the pool season by many months.
Initially, the pool area was enclosed in their backyard by a fence that ended about where you can see the newly installed spa in the picture above. The owners realized they could be getting so much more out of their backyard area. So they called on Liquid Assets to bring their vision to life. The owners knew that when it came to hardscaping to really make the most of a pool area, Liquid Assets was the one to call.
Plans showed how the pool area would be expanded to include a new spa as well as a cabana which would be home to an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.
Working with the owners, Liquid Assets developed the working plans. Once permitting was done, the project was ready to go, beginning with expanding the pool deck area which was done to match what was already there. Construction of the spa was next which featured stone work that would tie in the natural colors around the pool and of the house itself. The cabana would feature the same stonework around the fireplace helping to tie the look together. 3D renderings gave the client an idea of what the end result would look like.
The firepit under the cabana will be a great place for evening gatherings and extend outdoor time well beyond the traditional pool season.
A long table with a built-in refrigerator will provide ample space for snacks and meals.
Construction of the cabana will soon be complete. When it’s finished, it will provide plenty of seating area for gathering around the fire as well as ample opportunity to take in all the pool activities –
or to relax after a nice stint in the spa.
Last on the list will be re-installing the new fence, closing in the area that will soon be home to a whole new batch of memories to come.
Beyond the fun of the pool, the new spa will provide a great place to relax and unwind.
