Types of In-Ground Pool Construction
Determining which type of in-ground pool construction is right for you is one of the most important decisions when planning your swimming pool project. While each type has pros and cons, you’ll receive high-quality, lasting results when you partner with us.
POOL CONSTRUCTION TYPES WE OFFER
Let’s dive into the different types of swimming pools we build to help you decide which one is right for you.
Concrete and Gunite Pools
Concrete or gunite (a specialized type of concrete used for swimming pools) is the top choice in pool materials due to its low maintenance, high durability, added value to your home, and flexibility in design possibilities. Gunite continues to be the most popular choice for in-ground pools because of its superior performance.
Fiberglass Pools
Fiberglass pools can be a good, cost-effective choice if you don’t want a custom shape or entry. A fiberglass pool is manufactured offsite and then transported to your property, where our team will place it in the ground. Fiberglass pools are quite durable and relatively quick to install, but they don’t add as much value to your home as gunite pools do and can start to pop out of the ground over time.
Vinyl-Lined Pools
Vinyl-lined pools can be designed to fit into nearly any type of backyard or space, unlike fiberglass pools. Vinyl-lined pools can be produced in custom shapes with special features like spill-over spas, tanning ledges, and liners. The liners come in different colors, patterns, and thicknesses. One of the major drawbacks of vinyl-lined pools is that the liner can stretch or become damaged, requiring replacement.
