Project Summary
For many homeowners, having a steep slope in the backyard makes the area unusable for family fun activities or entertaining. These homeowners had more than an acre in their lot and wanted to make the most of that space.
Working with the homeowners, Liquid Assets developed a plan that flows from the house and makes the inviting pool, gunite spa and patio a centerpiece for entertaining. The wood deck, upper patio and lower terrace are tiered to provide many different outdoor spaces and entertainment areas.
But it’s the lower terrace that truly shines. The large pool deck is an inviting area, now ideal for entertaining featuring the spa, pool and a stone fireplace featuring a built-in grill and flat screen TV. All of the outdoor kitchen features incorporate a cut-faced cottonwood limestone. The gorgeous patterned Pennsylvania bluestone pool deck allows for plenty of room for seating, dining and dancing.
The gunite spa is raised off the pool water and features a sheer descent water spillover-effect that flows into the pool. The pool/spa are finished in a complementary light-blue PebbleTec finish. The coping/edging around perimeter of the pool and spa is a cream-colored bull-nosed Turkish marble. The tile is a rare Italian Cepac aqua-marine ‘penny round’ which captures the beauty of art in an exterior design.
White rocks frame the lower terrace and generous landscaping behind and below the pool complete the look of the totally revamped backyard.
